Baby Blanket Instructions To make a 45x45inch blanket, purchase 2 1/2 yards of fabric of your choice. Just about anything washable will work great. Cut the fabric into 2 equal squares. Embroider the child's name on one corner using your built in fonts with your machine. On the opposite corner the applique sheep from A Design By Lyn's OH BABY set was used. http://www.adesignbylyn.com/Baby.htm Now sew the embroidered top to the contrasting or matching bottom. You can use a light batting on the back as well if you wish. Clip the corners, turn itright side out and press all the edges. Use one of the wonderful decorative stitches that came with your sewing machine to sew all around the edges. These wonderful blankets make a great gift for new moms, a great summer cover up or beach blanket for infant or child. They can also be used to make a little tent to camp under or a cape for a boy, and a veil for a girl......or anything else their imagination can come up with. But don't be surprised if it is their favorite nap time friend. Instructions and photo's shared from Pat Presley Design from www.adesignbylyn.com
